Support for 1PIF and 1Password 6 Windows

Options

I would like to know when 1Password 6 will support export to 1PIF. Because 1Password.com is incompatible with 1Password 4 and 1Password 6 is read only for local vaults, and I need 1Password 4 to be able to accept 1Password.com imported passwords, I hope to see 1PIF export implemented.

Presumably, 1PIF being a 1Password native format, it would be better than CSV?

    Hi @wkleem,

    Thanks for writing in.

Yes, 1PIF would be the best format for switching between 1Password versions, it includes everything including the item's metadata, its UUID and so on that ensures it is very consistent and all of your data is carried over. CSV doesn't have that kind of flexibility, which is why we came up with the 1PIF format in the first place.

However, we don't have a timeframe on the 1PIF export support in 1Password 6, we will get it done but we have other higher priority features to implement first. Getting 1PIF done would require a lot of testing because of how different the data structure is on 1Password.com, so we're putting it aside for later when we have the resources.
