1Password v6.7 and lack of Auto Type?

Options

I've come across this situation where my Sony Xperia Companion needs a password to proceed with backing up my phone. It's a backup description and password with confirmation of password before proceeding.

Or alternatively, use a Google Account to proceed with the backup.

I haven't proceeded with the backup yet but I prefer to keep things local.

The phone is encrypted which is the reason for the password protection.

    Hi @wkleem,

    Thanks for writing in.

Auto-Type is on our list to implement in a future update to 1Password. In the mean time, you can bring up 1Password mini by pressing Control + Alt + \, search for the item you need, right-click on it to copy its password and paste it into your app.

In this case, if you need a new password, Auto-Type wouldn't help here as it only fills existing data.

For now, I would recommend to create the new password item first in the main 1Password app to give the title to the password item you've generated and then use 1Password mini to copy it for pasting in the app you're using.
