Sub-domain shows up for main domain

First, I love 1Password Family. It makes sharing key passwords (Read Netflix) passwords easy. I especially love being able to command-\ and have the password auto-fill.

Which brings me to my question. I have several passwords that are different for some sub-domains. I would like to be able to use the hotkeys and have it autofill, but I have to choose between the sub-domains (e.g., subdomain1.domain.com, subdomain2.domain.com, domain.com). Is there any way to differentiate between them so that the hotkeys will work?

  • Hi @aretzler,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

If the website field on one of the items exactly matches the page you're on, and the other login items do not, then cmd+\ should fill the one that is the best match without further action. If you do not have the exact path to the page you're trying to fill on though 1Password will offer you all of the options for that domain (including sub-domains).

    I hope that helps!

    Ben
