  • Hi @vmay42,

    Thanks for writing in.

    What anti-malware solution are you using on your PC?

    Did you recently enable Unlock on Secure Desktop feature in 1Password 4? That may be Windows' glitching out on providing you with a secure desktop to present the 1Password's unlock dialog on it.

    Can you try pressing the ESC key on your keyboard to cancel secure desktop or bring up Task Manager to kill the consent.exe process?

    Hi Pressing escape worked perfectly. Thanks

  • Hi @vmay42,

    That means something is blocking 1Password from showing up on Secure Desktop. In this case, try to configure your anti-malware solution to whitelist 1Password directory and/or disable Unlock on Secure Desktop setting in 1Password.

    To find the setting;

    1. Go to the File Menu > Preferences in the main 1Password 4 window
    2. Select the Browsers tab
    3. Uncheck the box next to Unlock on Secure Desktop and press OK.
