forced Quit with error on "cant connect to mini" (on mac)

I rarely use 1password on my mac--just now i'm finding i can't access it on my laptop at all! Help!

From Applications launch, I get error box stating it can't connect to 1password mini, so please Quit. The only option is a Quit button. And so I can't access it at all, because each try fails to do anything but produce this error box. Arrrgh....

    Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
