Why does 1Password require iCloud login?

My 1Password program now requires that I sign in to iCloud essentially every time I open my computer. This is new behavior since I reinstalled my operating system. It means, essentially, that I cannot use 1Password unless I am currently logged in to the internet, which is a problem for me. Can you please tell me how to change that?

    Hi there @mscohen :)
Apple recently changed their iCloud authentication tokens to only last for approximately 8 hours maximum. The main way to fix this is next time you are asked for your iCloud login, make sure the "Keep me signed in" box at the bottom is checked. That will give you a much longer token and you will only be asked to sign in every 30 days or so.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • Hey @mscohen! Sorry about the confusion there. As Corey mentioned above, iCloud sessions now expire after 8 hours, so just check that "Keep me signed in" box next time and you'll be good to go. :)
