How in the name of all things holy do I log out of the app on my mac?
I'm trying to merge my work and personal accounts but I want to open my work account on my mac and load my backup passwords. I cannot seem to log out.

Welcome to the forum, @Molly_D! I'm not quite sure what you meant by that -- if you have multiple 1password.com accounts, you can open 1Password Preferences > Accounts and add each one there, using these instructions. You'll then be able to view all your data from both your work and personal accounts combined in the All Vaults view.
Can you say a little more about what you me in regard to "backup passwords?" Also "logging out" on your Mac? What are you trying to log out from - a 1password.com account in 1Password for Mac? In a browser? Something else?
