1p4 import into 1Password 6 without overwriting/replacing

Hello,

I have a 1Password-X.1p4_zip file that I need to import into 1Password 6. I am asked to overwrite/replace all my data with this new file. I want to simply import. How would I do this?

Perhaps via an online account rather than through my desktop application?

I am not synching.

    Welcome to the forum, @karlfitz! If you're attempting to restore from a backup, first make sure you don't have any data in 1Password currently that is necessary. We assume you're wanting to restore because you need to revert to a prior state of your 1Password data. That's why a restore from backup does indeed overwrite all existing data in 1Password.

    However, if you still have data in 1Password currently that you need and that is NOT part of the backup file, then you'll need to first export whatever portion of your current data you still need, then restore from the backup file you have, and finally re-import the data you exported.
