Why is the 1Password Icon blinking in my Firefox toolbar

I just discovered that when I try to open a site from 1password in Firefox it does not open.

@Petester - Without a little further investigation, it's difficult to say right off the bat. What version of Firefox are you running? And of macOS or OS X? What version of the 1Password extension do you have installed? The more detail you can give us, the better-able we'll be to assist.

@Lars I can reproduce this and can try to provide more info.
This is happening to me on Firefox Developer 59.0b2 with Beta extension 4.7.0.1. This is on latest macOS 10.13.2. My 1Password app is 6.8.6.
Running beta software I understand the risks but happy to help debug it. Works in Safari and other browsers so possibly something with latest Firefox changes.Oddly enough it's still working when I open it with cmd+option+\ and manually use it to login.

@ropiku: You're having this problem because Mozilla used an invalid bundle ID in recent developer releases. I'm sure they'll fix that soon. The stable or beta version of Firefox should work just fine in the mean time. You can find the existing discussion on that issue here. Cheers! :)

@kguay12 - mmmm, nope. I wasn't on that version yet, but I just downloaded it and it's working fine for me here. I would try the following, in order:
- Make sure your version of 1Password is up-to-date. If not, update to the latest version.
- Remove the 1Password extension in Firefox.
- Open the 1Password app and click the 1Password menu. While holding down the Control and Option keys, select “Quit 1Password and 1Password mini”. Or press the
^⌥⌘Q
keyboard shortcut. - Restart Firefox.
- Install a new copy of the latest 1Password extension for Firefox at https://agilebits.com/onepassword/extensions.
- Reopen 1Password and test everything out.
Let us know how that works for you.

Not a problem! Thanks for the update. On behalf of Lars, you are most welcome! It sounds like you should be all set, but don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of further assistance. Cheers! :)

Here's what Jamie summarized about this issue:
There's currently a bug with Firefox Developer Edition's bundle identifier. We've been discussing this here in the forums, and you can follow this Mozilla bug to see when it should be resolved.
That discussion is still open and we'll close this one now.
If the 1Password extension isn't working in Firefox for some other reason after trying what Lars suggested, feel free to start a new discussion (including Firefox and 1Password version numbers) so we can help you get it working.
