Entering 1Password password pausing unexpectedly.

Recently when entering my password to open 1Password the progress bar will show the first four characters as they are entered. The rest of the six characters do not show on the progress bar as they are entered. There is a pause for approx. 7-8 seconds then 1Password will unlock and allow normal functions. Why, all of a sudden is this pause occurring?

    @rbennett27: It's some slowdown with input on your system. macOS handles Secure Input, which is what 1Password is using there. If you restart your Mac does that help, if only temporarily?
