I'm considering purchasing the upgrade from 6 to 7. Many developers are turning to the subscription model, something I resist - though I concede I do upgrade constantly anyway, and in this case it may make more sense financially. I'm not sure, and I've downloaded the 7 installer for the 30 day trial to help me decide. My question is this: If I install version 7, will it obliterate version 6? Thanks.

Hello @tudora
The installer will remove the 1Password 6 app, yes, as having both versions installed and running on the same machine can cause all sorts of unwanted behaviour. What the installer will not touch, however, is your data. If you decide that a membership, or 1Password 7 in general is not for you, you will be able to remove it and reinstall it and your data from 1Password 6 will remain untouched.
