Can't get Chrome extension to work on Mac

Options

Hi,
I'm getting the "1Password can't verify the identity of your web browser" error on Chrome. Here's the set-up:

Macbook Pro
High Sierra 10.13.4
1Password 7.0.4
Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit)
1Password Chrome extension 4.7.1.90

I've restarted the browser, 1Password, the computer. I've deleted and reinstalled the plugin. I have not reinstalled chrome or 1password, but hope I don't have to do either of those steps.

I would appreciate any help.
Thank you,
Todd

Actually, we can close this item. I downloaded Chrome again from google and now the version is 67.0.3396.79.

That's weird because the prior version indicated that it was the latest version and when I clicked to update it responded that I was on the current version. There must have been an issue with Chrome's update engine. In any case, all is now working with the extension on this latest version of Chrome.

At least you solved the mystery @SirGlub  Odds are the glitch will be a one-off and normal auto-updating should resume. I've seen that in the past with Firefox as well where it would claim it was up-to-date but in reality it was quite wrong.
