Cannot stop 1Password 7 auto update over and over

The forced 1Password update to version 7 is driving me crazy. I don't want this update but it keeps putting 1Password 7 in my Applications folder and causing 1Password 6 to stop running. Every time I trash 1Password 7 and go back to using version 6, version 7 reappears after about 10 minutes. I've turned off auto updates in 1Password 6 but this doesn't help. What background process is doing this and how do I kill it?

By the way, forced application updates of this nature are intrusive, user hostile and extremely bad manners. This is not the behaviour I expect from reputable companies.

Hi @Quilliam and welcome to the forums! 1Password 6 should not be auto-updating to 1Password 7, at least if you downloaded it from our website or from the Mac App Store—is it possible that you downloaded it from a third-party downloads site?

All that said, 1Password 7 is a fantastic update, so you may want to try it out. ;)
