Is it possible to share a vault between two different Families (or Teams, or across Families/Teams)?

My sister-in-law has a personal account of her own, my wife and I are part of the family account I setup (I manage a Teams account as well).

My wife would like to share a vault with her sister.

Just to make sure it's clear:

  • Me: Family Account (A), Teams Account (A)
  • Wife: Family Account (A)
  • Sister-in-law: Personal Account (B)

So can a vault be shared between Family Account (A) and Personal Account (B)? I realize the won't show up in the management interface to give them permissions, but is there another way?

I think I see a way to do it using a shared dropbox folder, would really prefer to avoid that if at all possible.

    We don’t support sharing 1Password data via Dropbox. The best way to accomplish his would be to add your sister-in-law to your 1Password Families account, either as a family member or as a guest. If you’re only looking to share one vaut with her, and she already has a personal account, then inviting her as a guest may make the most sense:
