Sync iPhone and Mac without Dropbox and iCloud

Hi,

My new corporate policy does not allow me to access either dropbox or icloud from my mac.
I have 1Password 7 standalone for mac and latest version of app in my iPhone.

I want to setup shared vault to be synced via local wifi.
I've successfully created a new vault on my Mac and enabled WLAN sync.

How can I add this vault to my iPhone? When I want to "Sync Additional Vault", the only option is via Dropbox.

Thank you

1Password Version: 7.0.7
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.13.6
Sync Type: WLAN

  • Hi @Dmitry Paykin

Have you reviewed our guide on setting up WLAN sync? If so could you please let me know which step you are getting stuck on?

How to use the WLAN server | 1Password

    Yes, I followed the guide.
I successfully completed steps on m y Mac.
Now I'm stuck on my iPhone (iOS) step #2: "Tap Settings > Sync, then tap the vault you want to sync."
In iPhone I do not see the vault I created in Mac, so I can't tap on it.
    Please help

Thanks for pointing that out. I’m currently discussing the situation with our documentation team. In the mean time, if there is no data on the iOS device that isn’t also present on the Mac, it may be easiest to uninstall & reinstall 1Password on iOS and then select the WLAN sync option from the welcome screen (scroll down to see it). If there is data on iOS that isn’t elsewhere please hang tight and I’ll try to get updated instructions for this situation.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have data in iOS, so I'll wait for instructions.
    Thank you

If you select the Primary vault do you see the option to sync with the WLAN server? Please try selecting

1Password > Settings > Vaults > Primary > Start Syncing > Sync with WLAN Server

Let me know how it turns out.

But it is for existence vault!
The one I created on my Mac does not appear in iPhone.

  • The WLAN server dictates which vaults get synced, not the client (iOS).
