How is the application installed to a business environment?

I've been tasked to see if we can implement a business wide install and wanted to know if the application is a native .exe or .msi or a ClickToRun application to the users profile. I'm assuming that the application is a client side application that connects to a cloud DB.

Also, for administrating the system, is this achieved by utilisng the clouud portal or via the client app?
