Slow response with new macOS Safari extension

I am on mojave with 1Password latest beta. The new safari extension of 1P feels bad on it's response. Some time click on the extension button or use shortcut key will take 1-2 seconds to bring up the window. The extension used to be very reponsive before, but as soon as the major updates, openning 1P via extension is very unpleasent. Sometime it can show up right away, but most of time, it took seconds to show up. That's no more slick feeling.....

    @Leon Guan,

    If 1Password 7.app isn't running then that is absolutely normal speed if you click on the toolbar icon. As the extension has to go launch the main application and the extension helper process before it can then process any requests you've given it.

  • @rudy thanks for your reply. The 1P mini is running, the menubar icon was always there. Or do you mean we have to keep 1Password main window open all the time?

    @Leon Guan: The main 1Password window can be closed. 1Password mini will continue running in the background (and show up in the menu bar, if you have that option enabled) so that you can still use 1Password in your browser.

  • @brenty Yeah, I have that option enabled. So is it normal for taking 1-2 seconds to bring up safari extension window? Anyway to debug it?

    @Leon Guan,

    We'd certainly be interested in seeing a diagnostics report to see if there are any clues there: https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/
