How to use 1Password X directly on my Mac desktop?

gunhoegunhoe Junior Member

We've signed up for iPassword X online. It's nice, but I miss using it on my desktop. Is there a way to use it without having to rely it directly in the browser? I like the iPassword app on my Android. Is there a similar app for use on the Mac OS High Sierra desktop?

    Good evening, @gunhoe! 👋

1Password X itself is meant to be a standalone app, but we also have a full-fledged desktop app for Mac as well. You can download it from here: 1Password downloads.

You can use 1Password for Mac and 1Password X alongside each other. Note, however, that you will need to unlock each one separately. That's something we're looking into making easier in the future.

I hope that helps. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good news, @gunhoe!! 1Password X now has Desktop App Integration on Mac! 🎉

Check out our recent beta announcement for details on how to set things up so you can use Touch ID on your Mac. Support for Windows and Windows Hello will be coming in a future release.

If you're feeling adventurous, please give the beta a try and let us know how it goes. 😘
