1Password app no auto-populating username and password from safari browser on iPhonse XS

When I go to enter a username and password on a website in safari on my iPhone XS, and then use the 1Password extension to save the login, it doesn't auto-populate the information in the form.

Is this normal? Do I have to re-enter the information again before hitting "Save & Fill"?

Are you using Password AutoFill or the 1Password extension? With the former this is normal, with the latter it is not.

Ah, looks like I was using Password Autofill. Thanks.

@Ben - Does the extension non auto-populate for websites that aren't secure? For example, in the Safari broswer, the words "Not Secure" show up in the URL portion when I'm on ESPN's website. When I try to use the extension to save my password for that site, it doesn't auto-populate in 1Password.

  • That is correct; 1Password will not fill in insecure websites. It is horrifying that ESPN thinks it is acceptable to present login forms over HTTP. Please try this link for ESPN instead:
