Locked out day after Master Password Reset

I had a scare yesterday after someone gained access to my Amazon account. As a result, I reset the passwords for all my important logins, including 1Password. I even generated a new Secret Key.

I verified the new password immediately after resetting, and went on to use it several times yesterday. Today, however, the password no longer seems to work and I'm locked out of 1Password on all devices and extensions. I'm 99% sure I'm using the correct password and have even tried multiple versions of said password. Is this a known issue? Is my only hope to delete my 1Password account and start from scratch? Please help!

  • Hey @hanger129 I'm so sorry to hear about the trouble signing into your account! There aren't any known issues with signing in at the moment - generally this means one of the following things is incorrect:

    • Sign in address - i.e. the website that you're trying to sign into. For individual accounts, you'll want to sign into: https://my.1password.com/signin

    • Master Password - we have an article with some tips on variations you can try in case this is what is wrong:
      https://support.1password.com/forgot-master-password/

    • Secret Key - if you recently changed this, make sure that you're using the new key.

    • Email address - this one is pretty straight forward, but just make sure you're using the email address that you signed up with.

Taking these four points into consideration - give it a try again and let me know what you find!
