Chrome extension won't work

Options

I have 1Password desktop application installed on my work Mac with Mojave. When I installed the Google Chrome extension, it installed successfully but doesn't do anything when I click on the extension except switch me over to the 1Password desktop app. When I right click, I just see "1Password extension (desktop app required)" as the first menu item, and then "1Password" after that, Options is grayed out, and then Remove from Chrome, Hide in Chrome Menu, and then Manage Extensions.

I've tried deleting and reinstalling, then deleting, making sure Chrome was updated and then reinstalling, and I'm getting the same behavior. Any advice?

    Greetings @ashleysisti,

    Two quick things to check.

    1. Are the 1Password and Chrome application bundles stored in the /Applications/ folder? Due to the combination of sandboxing and security checks that 1Password performs these checks will fail if either application bundle is elsewhere e.g. ~/Applications/.
    2. Try a restart of the Mac. Launch and unlock 1Password and then launch Chrome. Is there any change in the behaviour?

If neither of those explain what is happening we'll probably need to review a diagnostic report to see if it is flagging anything. This link will guide you through the steps and has sections for the various supported versions of 1Password.

How to send a 1Password diagnostics report

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums

The email address you will want to use is support+extension@1password.com.

Once you've sent the report you should received an automated response from us with a ticket ID. If you can post that ticket ID here it will help us locate your diagnostic report and we'll see what it reveals.
