Manually initiate sync in 1Password iOS Beta 4.5b35

Since the sync menu has been updated in the latest iOS beta (4.5b35), there is no longer an option to manually initiate sync (in my case, I'm using Dropbox - I'm not sure if this is the case with iCloud?).

This feature was quite useful, especially whilst 1Password is open on two platforms at once (i.e. OS X and iOS) and items are being edited/added.

I miss this feature as well. :) I'm sure we'll see it in a new beta soon. Since the sync overhaul is in a fairly early stage, there are some basic features missing, but I believe Agilebits intend to reimplement all (or almost all) of the functionality that was there before.

As a workaround in the meantime, you could use the non-beta version of 1Password to manually trigger a sync. There shouldn't be a problem with having both versions on your device at the same time.

  • Thanks for writing in folks, it's on our list to bring back the 'Sync Now' button.
