Will not fill capitalone

Recently I noticed that 1Password will not fill login information on capitalone.com

I've used 1password with capitalone.com for years without issue so this is driving me crazy.

I do not use autofill. I'm manually clicking the extension to select the proper account, but when I click a login it doesn't fill in anything.

I've tried using or doing all of the following without luck:

  • reinstalled the browser extensions
  • chrome, safari, firefox
  • restarted 1password mini
  • app store version, and normal version of 1password 4
  • latest beta build
  • another mac

Am I missing something obvious? Any suggestions?

This solved my issue. It works a bit differently than it did a week ago but it's close enough. It populates the fields normally which is great. It just requires an extra click now.

I had tried creating a new login from scratch by deleting the old login and saving as new which did not correct my problem.

    Thanks Stephen

    Hi @sevenlocks,

I'm glad @Stephen_C‌ could help you with fixing this problem. :)

Does the Capital One page you're filling have Username and Password fields? It seems that some only have the Username field on the first page. Can you post the URL of the login page that you're using? Also, are you currently running the Agile Web Store or the Mac App Store version of 1Password?

Thanks in advance for that additional information!

It worked again for about a day and now I'm right back to where I started.

The fields flash like it's filling in the fields but it leaves them blank.

I'm trying to login into capitalone banking here https://www.capitalone.com/?LinkId=EOS_Z_Z_Z_FOOT_F1_01_G_COF

You may have to select banking from the menu.

This page initially only shows the username field at first, then displays both username and password fields.

I'm currently using the Agile Store version.

Having the same issue with Capital One over the past week or so. Using the link: https://servicing.capitalone.com/c1/login.aspx

    Hi @sevenlocks,

Can you check if you have better results using 1Password filling on this page?

    https://banking.capitalone.com

It seems to consistently display User ID and Password fields, while ones like you mentioned can switch from displaying both or just the first.

    Hi @racerx1,

Have you manually saved a new Login manually for the https://servicing.capitalone.com/c1/login.aspx page and tried using that? User Name and Password fields both seem consistently displayed there, too. If that doesn't help, please let us know:

    • Which version of 1Password, and if it's from the Agile Web Store or Mac App Store, you're using.
    • Which web browser(s), and version(s) of the 1Password extension (found in the Extensions pane of the browser's preferences), you're using.

The more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to get this figured out for you. :)

    Thanks!

https://banking.capitalone.com seems to be working normally for me.

    Using 1Password 4 Version 4.4.2.BETA-3 (442003) Agile Beta.
Also have the MAS version as well: 1Password Version 4.4.1 (441006) Mac App Store.

    Manually saving login works.

    Using https://banking.capitalone.com/ also works.

For some unknown reason the link I have always used, https://servicing.capitalone.com/c1/login.aspx, as of recently is no longer working. As described, it 'looks' like 1P is filling in the first USERNAME field, but it is blank.

I initially posted to let OP know he wasn't the only one with the login issue -- I assume Capital One changed something on their end.

    Hi @sevenlocks and @racerx1,

I'm glad you've both been able to get working Login items for Capital One again! If there's anything more we can help you with please don't hesitate to ask. :)
