Master Password does not unlock 1Password data

Attempting to Sync via iCould or DropBox does not work. I get prompt to "Please unlock 1Password data", then i enter my Master Password. Is there a reason why my Master Password does not unlock 1Password data??

    Hi @dtn,

    Are you unlocking with your master password for that existing data file via Dropbox or iCloud or are you trying to unlock with the master password for the 1Password app you're currently in?

    If the latter, you have to actually unlock with the master password given to that data file, not the app's current data.

    Where is the original source of that data file you're trying to download from iCloud and/or Dropbox? If it is on a Mac or PC, can you unlock 1Password on that? If yes, use that master password to unlock that file on the iOS device.
