Amazon autofill fails on IOS

On my macbook pro OS X 10.8.5 autofill works fine for amazon.com. On my IOS devices the autofill triggers amazon to think I am a new user and since the email address is already in use rejects the login. If on the IOS device I go to amazon.com and copy the email address and password from the vault all is well and the login proceeds as expected.

  • Hi @k9drivr‌

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please try saving a new login for Amazon from your Mac:

Once you have tested and verified the new login works, you can delete the old one.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your reply bwoodruff but creating a new Amazon login on the MAC and then syncing it through to the IOS device does not change the behavior on the IOS device.

Interesting, This still does not work on my iPad or my wives iPad but it works on my iPhone as does the old amazon login. of course they all use different versions of 1password for the IOS depending on the IOS version. The cell phone uses 4.5.3 (works), my iPad uses 4.3.2 (does not work), my wives iPad uses 5.1.2 (does not work. This MAC is using 4.4.3 on OS X 10.8.5.

I'm afraid I'm unable to reproduce this issue. When I navigate to Amazon's login page in Safari on iOS I am able to use the Safari extension to fill my amazon login.

Could you please walk me though how you are accessing Amazon on your iOS device?

    I am using the 1browser within 1password

  • That also works for me. Here is what my Amazon login item looks like on iOS:

Is there something different about mine compared to yours?

Just that my website is www.amazon.com/ap/signin, no website 2 or 3.

I was able to get my wife's iPad to login using the safari extension, but it still selects the new account option when using 1browser

when I look at the form details I have
    email xxxxxxxxxxx
    create 0
    create 1
    password xxxxxxxxxx

    if that means anything

    Hi @k9drivr‌

Try deleting the create rows in your web form details section. I would have to hazard a guess that they're causing the issue (I don't have them). If that still doesn't work try creating a basic Login item in 1Password (via the main window). Enter your email address and password and use:

    https://www.amazon.com/ap/signin?_encoding=UTF8&openid.assoc_handle=usflex&openid.claimed_id=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.identity=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.ns=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0&openid.ns.pape=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fextensions%2Fpape%2F1.0&openid.pape.max_auth_age=0&openid.return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fyourstore%2Fhome%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref_%3Dnav_signin

as the website URL (that's the basic URL I get when I click the sign in button). That also works for me in 1Browser and as it was created in 1Password it also doesn't have the create rows in the web form details.

Let us know if that makes a difference.
