iOS Touch ID to Activate 1Password on the Mac

Is this something that is possible, similar to how 'Knock' or 'MacID' apps do for lock screen? Would be so convenient/awesome!

@mpa15: While this isn't something that 1Password was designed for currently, we may be able to add some kind of Continuity / Handoff support in the future. Thanks for letting us know you'd like to see this feature! :)

  • I'm hoping Apple solves this problem by adding a TouchID sensor to every Mac.

@cobaltjacket: That would be very interesting to see! Honestly, I have some trouble conceptualizing where Touch ID would fit on a Mac (though admittedly I wouldn't have guessed Apple would make a watch years ago either!)

I think it is more likely that Apple might support 'bridging' Touch ID from an iPhone to a Mac, since they seem to be heading in that direction in regard to the iPhone-Watch relationship. It will be interesting to see if there is news in this area at WWDC this year. :)
