@giangiulior - The standalone applications will continue to be available on a one-time charge basis, just as they were before 1Password for Familes was released. The data hosting and web access that are a part of Families are not available for the standalone versions, though. Families is only available on the subscription basis. That is understandable because the company has to support the servers that are used with it. (I am not an AgileBIts employee. I'm a volunteer helper in the forum.)

  • Hi @giangiulior

Thanks for taking the time to write in. As hawkmoth mentioned 1Password for Families will likely always be a subscription service. Based on the nature of the offering this is a necessary requirement. There are recurring costs to us, and so there needs to be recurring revenue associated with that.

Also as hawkmoth mentioned the plan is to continue offering the standalone apps for sale under the terms they have been. Such purchases will not include the Families service, though. Essentially we're adding new services to our lineup, not taking away any existing offerings.

    Ben
