Linkedin autofill not working

This is a website that I use frequently and it is extremely frustrating that 1password doesn't autofill the correct fields.

I've attached a screenshot of the linkedin landing page. Clearly 1password is getting confused because there are two fields on the same page with "username" and "password" but how do i fix?

1Password Version: 5.4
Extension Version: 4.4.3
OS Version: 10.11.2
Sync Type: iCloud

    Hey @nojohnny101,

We actually fixed this in a recent version of the 1Password extension, and it looks like you're running a bit of an older one. Not a problem! Just launch Safari, click the Safari menu, click Preferences, and switch to the Extensions tab. Select 1Password and click Uninstall, then confirm your choice. Once that's taken care of, head over to our extensions page and grab the latest version of the Safari extension. There are some other improvements in this version as well. :) Hope that helps!

They are supposed to, but there is no setting for how often Safari checks for updates. :) Glad to hear that resolved the issue.

I've the same problem. I've the latest extension available but I cannot even do copy-and-paste of my login and password on LinkedIn. Frustrating.

    Hi @gabri,

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having trouble with Linkedin's page. I tested saving the login manually and it works fine on my computer. Could you please follow the instructions in this guide and see if it helps?

Please let us know how this works out for you :chuffed:

    Hi Pilar,
Thanks for your reply. I see I've explained the issue badly, sorry. The problem wasn't to save the login manually, but to copy and paste the login and password from 1Password to Linkedin's page (since the details weren't filled in automatically by 1Password). Anyway, apparently there is a problem with this page (which is the one that was saved in my 1Password): https://www.linkedin.com/uas/login?goback=&trk=hb_signin
I finally could login (manually copy and paste from 1Password username and password) at this page: https://www.linkedin.com

I wanted to follow up on this with a perhaps related but slightly different issue with LinkedIn. First, the main LinkedIn login page does work for me. However, if I click on a link in my email (e.g., a notification that I have received a LinkedIn message), LinkedIn opens a unique URL, which 1Password does not recognize, and will not fill. Instead, I have to manually open the 1Password App, go to my LinkedIn entry, and copy and paste this.

Since the LinkedIn URL path changes for every message/notification, is there a way for 1Password to recognize the base URL, regardless of sub-domain or URL paths that are also part of the URL. For example, "https://www.linkedin.com/uas/login?/JdniduvjaehjvasHHDnej --> recognized as "https://www.linkedin.com/uas/login?/"

Hi @gabri, I'm sorry we didn't see your messages earlier, I apologise for having missed to answer! I hope Linkedin has been working well for you. We improve our extension on a regular basis, I did some testing on my side and both the links you provided seem to be working well. Again I'm sorry for missing your post before.

    Hi @sietecielos

In order to help you prevent phishing attempts with pages that look very similar to the real one but aren't we require exact matches. However, this can be changed if you want to take the risk! Just go to Preferences in 1Password and then click on Browsers. Then enable "Allow filling on pages that closely match saved websites" and that should do the trick!

Please let us know how this all goes for you and if it works as expected :chuffed:
