Amazon AWS Console Login Does Not Autofill

I searched Google for this. I found the most recent suggestion was to turn off the autofill animation. So I did that. But it does not remedy the issue.

My workflow is:
0) Open Chrome, and clear cache/remove all internet history
1) type in "http://aws.amazon.com"
2) click on the upper-right option "My Account" to open menu, and select "AWS Management Console"
3) end up at this page: "https://console.aws.amazon.com/console/home" which auto-redirects to some longer URL with lots of URL string options. Perhaps like this "https://www.amazon.com/ap/signin?openid.assoc_handle=aws&openid.return_to=https://signin.aws.amazon.com/oauth?response_type=code&client_id=arn%3Aaws%3Aiam%3A%3A015428540659%3Auser%2Fhomepage&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fconsole.aws.amazon.com%2Fconsole%2Fhome%3Fstate%3DhashArgs%2523%26isauthcode%3Dtrue&noAuthCookie=true&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.ns=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0&openid.identity=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select&openid.claimed_id=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select&action=&disableCorpSignUp=&clientContext=&marketPlaceId=&poolName=&authCookies=&pageId=aws.ssop&siteState=pre-register,en_US&accountStatusPolicy=P1&sso=&openid.pape.preferred_auth_policies=MultifactorPhysical&openid.pape.max_auth_age=120&openid.ns.pape=http://specs.openid.net/extensions/pape/1.0&server=/ap/signin?ie=UTF8&accountPoolAlias=&forceMobileApp=0&language=en_US&forceMobileLayout=0"
4) Enter e-mail
5) Select Radio Button "I am a returning user and my password is"
6) Enter password
7) Click "Sign in using our secure server"

Now, 1Pass will happily save my login information here. What it completely fails to handle is the Radio Button option for "I am a returning user and my password is..."

That is - if I start the process over, and at step 4 use the 1Pass extension to fill-in the login form, it will fill-in the e-mail/username but will not alter the radio button selection to "I am a returning user and my password is" nor will it fill in the password value... because selecting the checkbox is what makes the password field enabled for text entry. Worse, even... if for any reason the radio button is already set to "I am a returning user and my password is" it will change back to selecting "I am a new user".

Examining the web form details for the login that is saved shows that 1Pass is referring to the radio button by the name "create" and saving a value of "ap_signin_create_radio;opid=__18" ... which is interesting because what I had selected, according to Chrome's "inspector" does have the name "create" but has the id "ap_signin_existing_radio" with no reference in the HTML at least to "opid=__18" or even "opid".

I can't believe I'm the only person experiencing this issue, but again, Google didn't help. Changing the enabling of animations to "off" was suggested. Didn't help. Manually saving the login form didn't help. Editing the saved web form details doesn't help as far as I can tell since I can't edit the value of the saved radio button. I can create a new field: name="create" and value="ap_signin_existing_radio;opid=__18" but when I switch it to type "radio" it loses the value part.

For a while logging in to AWS console worked flawlessly. Then the radio button stopped auto-selecting but I could manually select it to "I am a returning user and my password is" and then use 1Pass to fill in the username/password. But now if I change it to "I am a returning user and my password is" and then use 1Pass, it changes the radio button selection back to "I am a new user" which disables the password entry box, and thus does not enter the password. So now the only way to enter the password is to change the radio button and then open the login info in 1Pass, copy the password, and paste it into the password entry box. Which sucks.

This problem is present on my work mac, my home mac, my mac laptop, and my windows VM at work. So it does not appear to be a specific issue to one machine.

    Hi @NFlourish,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve moved your post into our ‘Saving and Filling in Browsers’ category. Our filling gurus hang out here and you should get some efficient help from the real experts.

Our team has been making some great improvements to 1Password’s saving and filling ability lately, could you tell me when you most recently re-saved your Amazon Login item?

@NFlourish I'm sorry for the trouble you're having. There is currently a pretty nasty bug with saving and restoring radio buttons. We have a fix in place that is in the current 1Password for Mac betas and should be in the next stable update. When it does arrive, you'll need to re-save your Login again one last time. I'm sorry I don't have a fix for you in the meantime but I do want you to know it's coming.
