    Hi

    Do System errors affect 1Password or its extensions?

    I've been getting this error: 0x800704c7. My Windows PC is bogged down and has been attributed to a very slow Windows Update Agent for Windows 7 and 8.1.

    There are lots of reports in the Internet about this!

    Hi @wkleem,

    Yes, 1Password isn't immune to OS issues and it does use some system libraries to handle some tasks, such as the Secure Desktop, Auto-Type, and so on.

    In fact, we have many issues where anti-malware solutions would prevent 1Password extensions from doing its job, so if we can't be immune to that, we can't be immune to random Windows errors either.

    However, that doesn't mean we're not doing anything, we do intentionally halt ourselves if we detect a system error to protect your data.
