x2 "personal" accounts on the same Mac/iOS device

I have a personal account and a family account on my Mac/iPad and am trying to add another personal account - however I get the error message "wrong account".

I assume it is because both personal accounts use the same URL https://my.1password.com. I was able to get round this on my Mac by manually entering the info (not using the QR code). Afterwards I noticed that one of the accounts was using using https://my.1password/com/ (note the extra "/" at the end) which may or may not be relevant.

Is it not allowed to have more than one personal account on a device?

thanks,
James.

  • Hi @JamesHenderson! Good question. Right now it's only possible to use one individual account in the apps at a time. We added the capability to have more than one in a recent beta of 1Password for Mac, though, and that should be available in the stable version soon. :)

Hi @Jacob - any idea when the updates will be out - I am currently a lot less productive,

    Thanks!
    James.

@JamesHenderson: We don't have a release date, as it's important that we test things thoroughly and offer it to everyone only when it's ready. But you're welcome to use the beta, and you can always access your 1Password Account through the web interface as well. Cheers! :)
