Been using for years. Have license key & use dropbox. R upgrade features available to me?

I've been using app with dropbox synching for awhile on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Forgot how I purchased, but I have a License Key. Will the benefits of the upgraded app, both current and future, be available to me, or do I need to switch to a subscription? What is the difference between a license key and an account key? Can I synch with 1password instead of dropbox?

1Password Version: 6.5.2
Extension Version: 4.6.1
OS Version: 10.12.2
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @mprudow! You are using the latest version of 1Password on each of your devices. You can start using your account going forward to keep getting the latest apps when we release them, and lots of other cool features:

    • Sync without the need of a third-party sync service. With a 1Password account, simply sign in and your passwords and other items are there automatically.
    • Item History for restoring deleted or changed items. If a change was made to an item and it needs to be reverted, fret not. It can easily be rolled back from
    • View, edit, and add items from a browser. You’ll always have access to your data on, even if you're away from the devices you typically use.
    • Brand new multi-factor security model for your hosted account. Since your data is in the cloud, we took some extra steps to make sure the security is even better than what the standalone version of 1Password has. An Account Key is generated during setup to strengthen your Master Password, and we still don't store either of them. Learn more about how 1Password protects your data in the cloud.
    • Access your data even if you stop paying. Your data is yours. Even if you ever cancel your subscription, you can always view and export your data.

1Password accounts are paid with a subscription, which is how you get updates to the apps immediately when we release them. It also makes it simple for you to add your family down the road if you'd like. To start using your account, sign up and move your existing data over to it so you can take advantage of the syncing and backup:

Move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account

    Hope that helps! :)
