Two factor authentication for shared Twitter account?

Hello, our company is not a 1Password client (yet) but I'm trying to think through security for our corporate Twitter account.

Multiple people use it and I'd like to setup two factor authentication somehow.

In my head i'm picturing us purchasing the paid iOS app for everyone > purchasing a Teams subscription > configuring the 1Password app as the 'second authenticator'.

Does that sound right and the best way to go about it? We have limited IT capacity/knowledge :).

Thanks!

  • Hi @ontario,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

1Password can generate one-time passwords for Twitter. Note that this would not truly be "second factor authentication" as both the one-time password and the account password would be located in the same place, but may still accomplish your goals:

With a 1Password Teams subscription it isn't necessary to also purchase the individual 1Password apps: they are included with your subscription.

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
