password generator inserts two different passwords when I attempt to change my bank account password

I have followed the directions to change my password. I input the old password - have 1 password generate the new password and press fill - it then generates TWO DIFFERENT passwords - a short on in the first new password slot and a longer one in the second? It keeps happening and is very irritating. Please help
