Using symbols in passwords
I've found that different sites allow different sets of symbols to be used in passwords. Is there a way to select a limited set of symbols to be used in the password generator? e.g.: allow use of @#$%&
symbols, but not []{}^-
.

Hi @pkronfeld ,
Unfortunately, 1Password does not allow editing of the character sets used in password generation. The best thing to do in that case is to generate a password, and edit the symbols to be the ones allowable. If the site does not require symbols at all, you could also turn the symbols slider to 0.

Seems like this request has been around for a long time with nothing done, and I’m seeing more and more passwords restricting what symbols they accept. It’s time for 1Password to support these requirements.
