I just opened a family account, and want to migrate my husband's data on his single non-subscription

The issue is that I keep getting prompted for a key when trying this, but he doesn't have a key as he has been using a license not a subscription. The instructions on your site ask me to go to Preferences, then Accounts. There is no way to do this on his license...please help.
