OSStatus Error -67688 when updating from 6.7.1 to 6.8.4
I'm trying to update from 6.7.1 to 6.8.4 and every time it downloads the update and I try to install it I get the -67688 error. Google search shows no meaningful results on what this error means. I've updated macOS, restarted my computer multiple times, and still get the same exact error.

That sounds like an invalid signature error. Not sure what caused it though, but try installing v6.8.4 from 1Password's direct download link

@Thelauffer: Different things depending on the situation, unfortunately. Sometimes the app is damaged; sometimes there's a person-in-the-middle attack being performed by "antivirus" software; others the certificate store is messed up. :(

@weird_error: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble! The app is unable to validate the authenticity of the download for some reason. Please try the following:
- Drag 1Password to the Trash — do NOT use a "cleaner" app!
- Restart your Mac.
- Install a fresh copy from our website.
