I did not see the 6-digit code on Chrome extension (Mac)

Hi,

I just reinstalled 1Password (app and extensions) on my Mac and Chrome did not request verification (that 6-digit code). Safari did a request, as usual. I don't recall if Chrome ever requested the 6-digit code. Is that normal? Does Chrome work different than Safari in this regard? Thanks.

Mac OS 10.13.2, 1Password 6.8.5 (app store) and Chrome extension 4.6.12.90, Safari extension 4.6.12, iCloud syncing.

Cheers.

@lengotengo: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion! Unlike Safari, Chrome and Firefox are using Native Messaging now to connect securely to 1Password, so it isn't necessary for you to have to authorize them; this is negotiated automatically. I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Hi, Brenty. Thank you. That's clear now.

    Have a nice day!

You too! Glad that helped. And, frankly, I don't mind not having to authorize the browser in most cases nowadays. Hopefully we'll be able to do the same with Safari in the future. Cheers! :chuffed:
