my mac is syncing to icloud and iphone syncing to dropbox, how can I correct this

I noticed my iPhone and Mac 1Password accounts were not syncing. I discovered the mac is syncing to icloud and the phone is syncing to dropbox. How do I get them together without losing data. Also, just noticed that "memberships" are available now. Is that a better option? I bought 1Password from the apple app store. Should I get a membership? Thank you!

    @jlm2020: Do both devices have the same data? Meaning, is there one that is missing some things?

    Ultimately you may want to consider a 1Password.com membership, since it gives you access to all of the apps, the web interface, and does away with license management and sync configuration altogether — you simply login to your account to authorize a device and access your data. You can also try it for free for 30 days to take advantage of all of its benefits...but I think it's best to get this sorted out first either way. Let me know what you find!
