Standard update to system software to 10.13.4. Required restart which was prevented by 1Password 7.
Stopped 1Password and retried - OK.
Troubleshooting email sent.

That's interesting. I upgraded from 10.13.3 to 10.13.4 a short time ago, 1Password 7 was running but did not prevent the required restart.

When I restart my Mac I am receiving a message that "1Password 7 interrupted restart". I first noticed it when it my Mac attempted to update to the latest MacOS software (10.13.4), and then again this morning when 1P7 was acting sluggish. I manually quit 1P before doing the restart and the dialog box popped up. I haven't seen anything on the forum about this so I thought I'd mention it. Other than interruping the Mac update, it's no big deal other than having to hit try again a few times before is finally quit.

  • Hi @iamecho

This appears to be related to a know compatibility issue between 1Password 7 and macOS 10.13.4. Thanks.

This didn't happen in previous versions, but in 7b5 1P seems to interrupt shut down or restart.

The application doesn't seem to quit gracefully.

That has been reported by others—including in this short thread which includes a comment from AgileBits. There's also an earlier indication that AgileBits is working to address the issue.

This morning I saw an error message that the MacOs update wasn’t automatically applied to my laptop due to 1Password. The app wasn’t running though the mini agent was present in my menu bar.

I’m on a MacBook Pro Retina 1st gen, running latest version of high Sierra

This has been reported by a number of others in this thread and, in the same thread, the problem has been acknowledged by AgileBits.

  • Merged. Thanks. :)
