1Password not working on specific page...

If I go here: https://dealnews.com/sweepstakes/154.html

and choose: Already a dealnews user? click here to login.

In the resulting window, 1Password doesn't work. At all.

I'm not sure if this is the result of Firefox 6 or the new 1P extension or the combination of the 2. I do know it worked yesterday with FF5 and the last 1P extension.

  • Thanks for the report baz00kaman, and welcome to the forums! :) I can confirm that this does not currently work with the new extension (Firefox 6 / Safari 5.1). I'll add it to our list of sites to test against.

Just tried it here...http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php as well and it doesn't work. Looks like both are the same type of popup login type thing.

1Password 3.8.1 (build 31115) does not fill in my CapitalOne account info in Firefox 6 but does work in Safari 5.1 and Firefox 4.

    Thank you,

  • Hello hamilton and welcome to the Forums!

I was able to replicate your issue with FF 6. A saved login does work with both Safari 5.1 and Chrome 13, but FF 6 is not functional at this time. I added the website to our Firefox URL internal tracker.

I'm sorry that it is not working at this time, but we hope to have a solution soon.

    Cheers!

I found another site which does not work in Firebox 6.
1Password 3.8.2 (build 31121) does not fill in my newegg account info in Firefox 6 but does work in Safari 5.1 and Firefox 4.

    Thank you,

  • Hi Bruce

I have no trouble filling my Newegg login on this page:
    https://secure.newegg.com/NewMyAccount/AccountLogin.aspx?nextpage=http://www.newegg.com/Index.aspx

    Please try that page instead.

    Ben
  • If that does not work, please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.
    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.
    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).
    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

I guess I've missed this somehow. I just noticed this today when I went to add a new login and password. What happened to 1P asking me if I wanted to save the login??? You now require 4 steps (granted not very complicated steps) to do what 1P automatically did with a click of a button before. Almost everything in 1P seems to have taken a step backwards. What was simple and easy and quick now seems very bogged down. It used to be so streamlined you hardly knew it was there. Now every time I use it, I feel like I have to fight with it.
  • The new 1P extension on all browsers is not working except in logins...It DOES NOT fill in forms like the previous version of 1 Password. It does not fill credit cared information in any form...It is useless.

I agree with all the other people that this version is useless.. It just doesn't work as well as the previous version or it doesn't work at all...

They better fix it quickly or I will be forced to go elsewhere.
  • Yes, after you fill a login manually , it DOES NOT ask you if you want it saved...It does not prompt you..Firefox does prompt you. But 1 Password is asleep at the wheel.

Not a reply but rather a "me too". 1Password not working at all on IMAC, OSX 10.6.8, Safari 3.8.5, 1Password build 31141. Never prompts to save login at all. Did uninstall, reinstall, etc. Here's the thing: works just fine on MacBook with all preferences being the same. We've worked on a family license since 2008. Might it have something to do with Time Machine backups and confused systems? Have repaired disc permissions. Manual input is a bit tedious, don't you think? Help, please.
