Trying to install 1Password version 7.0 (stable, public) on my second computer (iMac).

  • I have installed 1Password 7.0 via the provided .pkg file.

  • I have my license.

Every time I double click on my licence file (yes, for version 7.0) I am prompt with the “New to 1Password?” screen. None of the buttons under the “Used 1Password before?” section work. I cannot click “1Password.com”, “Sync using iCloud”, “Sync using Dropbox”, and the options under “More Options…”.

How did this get past development/beta stages? The app doesn’t even work.

1Password Version: 7.0
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: macOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29)
Sync Type: iCloud

@noahm - I'm sorry for the trouble! Did 1Password work on your first Mac? If so, let's concentrate on the issue here, since it seems to be limited to this Mac.

A few things: In 1Password 7, we use iCloud to keep your license file in sync so it’s available on all your Macs as soon as you license the first one. If this Mac is using a different iCloud account or not using iCloud, that might account for some of what you’re seeing. Is your first Mac using iCloud Keychain? And is this second Mac using iCloud keychain via the same iCloud account that your first Mac uses?
