Over the years I have purchased several versions of Parallels for my Mac. I keep the license information in 1Password. For some reason the last version of Parallels that I purchased - 13 - has a generic icon in 1Password. Is there some way to get this icon fixed so it displays like the others?

  • Hi @rvmeush

Is the name of the Software License item “Parallels”? And does the Paralles app live on your system at /Applications/Parallels.app?

    Please let me know.

The software license name is Parallels 13, just as the other software license names include the version. (e.g. Parallels 8). Parallels is located in the Applications folder, but the name is "Parallels Desktop"

  • Please try renaming the Software License item to “Parallels Desktop” and see if that works. The version can be recorded in the version field, and will appear in the listing below the item name.

That worked - thanks so much. The icon changed immediately. Is the trick to name the license exactly as the app is shown in the Applications folder?

  • You’re very welcome! Yes, in most cases that should do it. :)
