I can't install Chrome extension. it is not recognizing my 1Password for windows

I rebooted my system and 1Password Chrome extension stopped working. I deleted it and tried to install the Chrome extension again and it won't install. I get the following: "1Password extension (desktop app required)". My 1Password for Windows appears to be working but is not being recognized when installing the new Chrome Extension.

    Hi @dratchonline,

    I moved your thread to 1Password 4 topic, I hope you don't mind. Please try to do the following:

    1) Install 1Password extension for Chrome.
    2) Close Chrome.
    3) Go to 1Password 4 > Help > Advanced and make sure that you have Native Messaging enabled there.
    4) Go to 1Password 4 > Help > Restart 1Password Helper.
    5) Launch Chrome and check if the extension works.
