One password synced for multiple logins

Hey 1Password Team,

I was wondering if the following feature existed in 1Password. At work, I have 1 network password that allows me to log into multiple websites and applications. Unfortunately, the usernames for these applications for whatever reason are different. So now instead of having 1 login with 1 password in 1Password I now have 6 logins with the same password but different usernames. I was wondering if there was a feature to generate a password separately and have multiple logins point to that password. That way, when I have to change my network password I don't have to update it in all 6 logins I can just update the 1 password it in 1 spot.

There isn't a "multiple username" feature in 1Password, so it wouldn't work as far as filling. But you could certainly save the additional usernames in custom fields for reference, using a single Login item so you have the password in a single place.

I could but then it wouldn't autofill my username properly.

  • That’s correct.
