The 1Password staff would probably be better able to help you if you provided some additional information, such as your 1password version, operating system (windows, mac?) and extension version. Thanks alot and sorry for your troubles. :)

@iracohen1946: In addition to @Stimraug's most excellent advice, I'd also recommend making sure Chrome and your friend's 1Password desktop app are fully up-to-date. In addition, let me know if s/he is using any sort of anti-malware software on this PC. This is less common these days, but those can sometimes interfere with 1Password's ability to communicate with the extension.
