"Help & Support" + annual discount issues

Just signed-up for a subscription account on .eu.

Few annoying issues:

1) Selecting "Help & Support" from the online 'home' page drop-menu (https://my.1password.eu/home), doesn't work correctly.

Clicking on it, it then sends me to this page (https://support.1password.com/category/accounts) but when I try to sign-in there, it refuses to actually do so properly, instead sending me back to the 'home' page again. And around in circles I go.

2) Folders now Tags: but can you have "Smart Tags"?

On v6 we had "Smart Folders", where for example I had one called "(not in folder)" for any login not yet sorted into a folder. Can this be done with Tags?

3) I used the Mac Power Users "1Password.eu/MPU" to get a 20% discount on the annual subscription.

I can see under my "Billing" this has worked, but how long is this 20% discount valid for? As I've been all over the site, and there is nothing saying 1 year or in perpetuity?

Thanks in advance.

@jimthing: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the confusion!

It seems like it is working correctly here. The "Help & Support" link goes to our support site when I click it here. However, you mention trying to sign in there. You don't need to sign in to anything to view support guides, etc. You should see a list there, but you can also type in the search box to look for something specific. Can you tell me what you need help with? I'll be happy to either give you the answer outright, or point you to the relevant resources. :)

    2) Folders now Tags: but can you have "Smart Tags"? On v6 we had "Smart Folders", where for example I had one called "(not in folder)" for any login not yet sorted into a folder. Can this be done with Tags?

Not currently. We went with tags because they're more flexible than folders while also allowing for similar organization. We would like to have a "saved search" feature like what you're describing in the future, but it will require a great deal of development and testing across all 7(!) of our apps so that's not a short term thing. But that's one reason we've gone with tags and made a few other decisions like that, to allow us to build things like this is a way that is usable across all platforms 1Password supports.

The 20% discount is valid as long as you keep your annual subscription active. If you have any other billing or account-specific questions, be sure to reach out at sales@1password.com so we can go into more detail without compromising privacy. Cheers! :)

Thanks for answering, I understand all three now.

    re. point (1) above...

When already signed-in .eu users go to "Help & Support", the page they land on (https://support.1password.com/category/accounts ) having "Sign In" in the top righthand corner is a bit confusing, as we presume we're logged-in already.
Especially, as if we click on "Sign In", it takes .eu users to the .com sign-in page (https://my.1password.com/signin ), and we have to notice to use the drop menu to select the .eu version of the page, at the bottom.

    Just a user interface issue.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. The issue is that support.1password.com doesn't know anything about your 1Password account(s). It doesn't know that you use 1Password.eu or that you are already logged in there. These systems intentionally don't "talk" to each other (in part in an effort to comply with GDPR regulations regarding data transmission and storage and our own privacy policy). I understand why that might cause some confusion, but it is a matter of balancing customer privacy with convenience. In this case privacy won.

@Ben - Yes I can understand that, and AFAICT there's no way to get around it. Oh well, it's not that important in the scheme of things.
