Password strengtht, confusing; 1password vs howsecureismypassword.net

I am confused so im trying to make a strong password with the 1password generator, but from what I see, according to 1password the best way is just to use 14 letters, when adding numbers or special characters the password gets weaker, this is in contrast with the howsecureismypassword.net information - if its necessary I could of course ad screenshots,
