1password Safari extension broken

The 1password Safari extension appears greyed out with a red alert box "Inc...ari" over the top. I have tried reinstalling the plugin from within the 1password App to no avail.

    Hi @Professor_Mac , do you have Safari 12 already installed on your machine? 1Password 7.2.x is not compatible with Safari 11 anymore due to security changes by Apple.

    @Professor_Mac: Indeed, it looks like you're getting that because Safari is out of date. Some folks have reported having difficulty updating Safari, but restarting in Safe Mode and doing the update should work. :)

    Some people have a good reason to keep running Safari 11. Is there any option for us?

    Hi @vayda,

    Other than using the Safari Developer Preview as a separate Safari installation, I think the only option is to actually update Safari.

    We also cannot recommend using an outdated browser, so if you really need Safari 11, perhaps you could move your 1Password usage to a different, up-to-date browser until you are able to update to Safari 12.
