Cannot disable Autosave ("Detect new usernames and passwords and offer to save them")

  1. Go to 1Password > Preferences… > Browsers.
  2. Disable Autosave ("Detect new usernames and passwords and offer to save them").
  3. Exit Preferences.
  4. Go back to 1Password > Preferences… > Browsers.

Result: The Autosave setting re-enabled itself.

This is happening on two separate Macs and across logoff/logon, reboots, and restarting 1Password.

Update: This problem (preference does not persist) is affecting the Extension Helper setting on the same dialog as well.

I completely removed 1Password (using AppCleaner) and reinstalled 1Password 7 Version 7.2.6.BETA-1. The issue remains.

@verdi1987: Indeed. Very odd. I've filed an issue for this. The preferences there do seem to work...but are not reflected in the UI. I am now in a state where it shows that autosave is disabled (until I reopen Preferences), but I am getting the autosave prompt. We'll get it fixed. Thanks for bringing it up! :)
